Ganga's Offering - Complete

At last it's complete. Didn't think it would take this long - maybe I should address the life/art balance.

Anyway it's been great fun and a big learning curve. And thanks again to my great friend Troy for providing the original photograph.

Wasn't easy trying to get a photo of the final piece but the light wasn't right and the paint was still wet. Will have to get a better shot later for the portfolio.

Thanks to everyone for your support whilst I trundled along with this one.

Ganga's Offering - Pt8

Tonight the candles were lit and so I was able to concentrate on the darks and lights with a proper light reference. Think the picture makes more sense now.

Slow progress as the candles were a bit of a struggle. If I didn't get that organic feel I fear they might look like tin foil holders - which they're not. Anyway I hope I captured that feel.
